A unique piece of ancient italian wallnut wood inspired me. The tombal cover of the "astronaut of Palenque", actually K'inich Janaab' Pakal, a mayan ruler, seemed perfect. Carved in the wood and covered with transparent resin to get the surface plane. I left the irregularity of the shape to get an "ancient" look. Dimensions are 170x70x79cm, weight is about 100 kg. Legs and footrest are removable.
